highlighting it, and 'cutting and pasting' it into your favorite word processor. Or
write your own thoughts in favor of Route 53 or your own personal or business
letterhead, sending it to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Representative
and State Senator.
If you and others living in your household agree, you should send separate letters to
have them counted as to the number of people in favor of extending this roadway.

I am writing to support the extension of Route 53 into Lake County. I
am joining with the 75 percent of Lake County registered voters who,
in a recent independent poll, said they want Route 53 extended.
In my opinion, this is the single most important, cost effective, and
environmentally positive action that can be taken to alleviate a
substantial amount of the increasing traffic gridlock in Lake County.
I am asking that you support the Lake County Transportation Improvement
Project, the Illinois Tollway, and Illinois Department of Transportation
in seeing that the Route 53 project be approved, funded, and built as
soon as possible.
